What is a mocktail?
A mocktail is a non-alcoholic version of a cocktail. Usually just the alcohol is omitted from the drink.
In some cases like our low carb blackberry mojito recipe, we removed the sugar and replaced it with liquid stevia extract.
Mocktails are great ways to experience the flavors of cocktails without the added alcohol. Mocktails are a fun way to let your kids feel like they’re joining you in on the fun! Hello Shirley Temple 🙂
Also, many women when they are pregnant like to make up mocktails. I know our friends used to make them all the time, especially at big holiday parties like Halloween, Christmas and New Years Eve.

What Type of Alcohol is in a Mojito?
Usually a mojito is made with rum. If you don’t have any rum on hand, you can substitute any clear liquor. It just won’t have a traditional mojito taste.
Pro Tip: If you want to make our low carb blackberry mojito an adult beverage, simply add 1-1.5 ounces of your favorite rum.
How many carbs are in blackberries?
Blackberries have 9.6g of carbs and 4.2g of net carbs per 100 grams. If you want to change up the flavor of this low carb cocktail or mocktail, choose one of these low carb fruits.
Some of the lowest net carb fruits we would recommend for this mojito recipe are strawberries, cucumbers and raspberries.
