Instant Pot Deviled Eggs with Relish.

Who knew making deviled eggs could be this easy? Serious though. Before making hard boiled eggs in the Instant Pot, I would literally lose half of the eggs in the shell.

But by hard boiling the eggs in the Instant Pot, there’s literally no egg waste. They come out completely whole and are so easy to peel!

How to make deviled eggs with relish

Today we’re going to tell you how to make the best deviled eggs recipe. To make an easy deviled egg recipe, first peel hard boiled eggs.

Then, cut them in half. Next, scoop the yolks into a medium bowl. Then, to the bowl with the yolks, add mayo, relish, garlic powder, dried dill, salt, and black pepper.

Next, use a handheld electric beater to mix until well-combined. After that, pipe or spoon the yolk mixture into the whites and garnish with fresh parsley or dill. Serve, or store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.

How to hard boil eggs

When you grew up, I’m sure your family made hard boiled eggs the old fashioned way. For years, there was only one way to hard boil eggs – in a pot on the stove!

For this method, you would place your eggs in a large pot with a few inches of water, and boil for 6-10 minutes.

This method works, but often leads to over or undercooking your egg or losing half of your eggs in the shell. For foolproof eggs every time, cook your hard boiled eggs in an Instant Pot!

Over on Lara’s personal blog she wrote a post on how to hard boil farm fresh eggs so they peel easily. If you’re ever eaten farm fresh eggs you know they cook differently.

Especially when you try to hard boil them. That’s why I wrote that post in the first place out of necessity.

How to cook hard boiled eggs in an Instant Pot

As you know, we love our Instant Pot! To hard boil eggs in your Instant Pot, first add ½ to 1 cup of water in bottom. Next place a trivet in bottom of pot (silicone or metal), and arrange 12 eggs on the trivet.

Then put the lid on the Instant Pot and make sure the knob on top says sealed or closed. After that press manual, and choose high pressure for 5 minutes. Pressure will rise, and then your eggs will being to cook.

Once eggs have cooked (timer ends), do a 5 minute natural pressure release and then release the remaining pressure. Then take the top off the Instant Pot and put eggs in an ice water bath so they can be easily peeled.

How many eggs can you boil in an Instant Pot?

You can make A LOT of boiled eggs in an Instant Pot. We recommend making about a dozen to a dozen and a half boiled eggs in your Instant Pot.

This is a good number to make sure your yolks cook evenly and your shells don’t crack while cooking.

Can you stack eggs in an Instant Pot?

Yep, go ahead and pile those babies on top of one another! Place the bottom layer of eggs on top of a trivet, and then stack em up. Just be careful not to crack any of your precious eggies!

Best way to hard boil eggs

To make the perfect hard boiled eggs every time, the answer is the Instant Pot! This pressure cooker allows for evenly cooked eggs that turn out gorgeous every time.

How much ahead of time can I make deviled eggs?

The sooner served, the better when it comes to deviled eggs. If you want to get ahead of the game, you can make your deviled eggs ahead of time.

You can boil your eggs and mix your deviled egg filling up to 2 days ahead of time. If you choose to do this, be sure to store the filling in an airtight container or plastic bag in the fridge and keep the eggs separate from the filling.
