This baked crack chicken is a delicious low carb dinner meal! If you are a chicken and cheese lover then this recipe is for you! It is oven baked so it is super easy to make and it makes a delicious dinner or it can also be eaten as a dip.

This crack chicken recipe is made in the oven and is super juicy and creamy! It will totally win the hearts of your family and friends! It’s also great for game day and pot lucks!

Ingredients for Baked Crack Chicken Recipe

  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 1/2 pounds chicken breast, sliced in half
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar 
  • 1 tablespoon dried chives
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder 
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon dried dill
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes 
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, cut into cubes
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar 
  • 4 slices bacon, crisped and crumbled
  • 1 scallion, green and white parts, thinly sliced

How to make Baked Crack Chicken?

Start by preheating the oven to 400F. Grab a 9 by 13-inch casserole dish and drizzle oil on the bottom.

Lay the chicken across the bottom of the dish. Top with the water, vinegar, chives, garlic powder, onion powder, dill, red pepper flakes, black pepper, and salt.

Cover the dish with foil and bake for 20 minutes.

Remove the dish from the oven and top with the cream cheese. half of the cheddar, and half of the bacon. Cover the dish with foil again and bake for 15 minutes more.

Remove the dish from the oven and use 2 forks to shred the chicken.

Top with the rest of the cheddar and bacon, and the scallion. Broil a couple minutes to melt the cheese.

Serve warm or chilled. 

We used beef bacon, but you can use any type of bacon you like.

  • Cauliflower rice
  • Zoodles

This recipe is based off our famous keto Instant Pot Crack Chicken Recipe. Since not everyone has an Instant Pot we wanted to make a version of crack chicken that you can make in the oven.
