Trader Joe’s Keto List – Top keto foods that need to be on your grocery shopping list! Some you know and other’s you probably didn’t think of!
At the present time both Faith and I live about an hour and 15 minutes away from the nearest Trader Joe’s grocery store. So when we make the trek over, you better know that we come prepared with a shopping list in hand.
We normally get together in person about 1 time per month and meet up at a Barnes & Noble or Starbucks. We normally try to get a bunch of work done and do whatever things that we can only do in person.
One thing that we ALMOST ALWAYS do after our work day is hit up the Trader Joe’s in Winter Park, FL. We chose winter park because it’s middle ground for the both of us since we live on opposite sides of Florida.
So what are some keto foods at Trader Joe’s?
Let’s break it down by section. A lot of these items you can find at your local grocery stores, while others you can’t. And a bunch of the items are MUCH cheaper at Trader Joe’s too. If you’re completely new to keto and don’t know where to start, check out our keto shopping list to give you an idea of what keto foods we’ll be getting at Trader Joe’s.
What’s Keto at Trader Joe’s? Trader Joe’s Keto Shopping List
TJ’s has a smallish produce sections, but it’s definitely not lacking! It is a condensed version of Publix but it has in my opinion more keto foods available. Some of my favorite low carb vegetables are shredded broccoli, riced cauliflower, jicama sticks, shishito peppers (I first had these in Austin, Texas with Faith last time we were at KetoCon!), shaved/shredded brussel sprouts, mini avocados and just overall good produce at great prices!
This section is very typical to our regular keto grocery shopping list. They do have more grass-fed options than your typical Winn Dixie or Publix offers. I also love that they have uncured bacon pieces. I love to cook these up and add them to roasted brussel sprouts. It makes for a delicious low carb vegetable side dish.
This may be my favorite part of TJ’s. I love the assortment of cheeses that TJs has to offer. Not only do they have a bunch of cow ilk varieties, they also have a bunch of sheep’s milk and goat milk cheese available. Even raw milk and grass-fed cheese options! And if that wasn’t good enough they also have goat cheese cream cheese, goat milk, and goat yogurt. This is a HUGE plus if you have a food sensitivity to cow’s milk or if you have trouble digesting cow’s milk like so many of my clients do.

Other Trader Joe’s Keto Foods
One thing that is a must for me (Lara) is stocking up on cheap wine at Trader Joe’s. I stick to the low carb wines like Cabernet, Pinor Noir, Merlot, and dry blend varieties.
Other Trader Joe’s Keto Foods like almond butter, peanut butter (stay away from the cookie butter lol), ghee, olive oil, coconut oil, avocado oil, olives, artichoke hearts, roasted red peppers, canned tuna, salmon, mackerel, oysters, and sardines.
