  • First, you will need freshly steamed green beans.
  • Next, grab a large cast iron skillet and heat it over medium to medium high heat. Then add the butter and oil.
  • Once the butter is melt, add the green beans. And all remaining ingredients. After that, cover the skillet for 10 minutes stirring occasionally.
  • Finally, uncover the skillet and cook until the liquid is evaporated, for about 5 minutes. The green beans should start to brown in spots.

Notes

Pro tip: If you don't want to get fresh green beans from the farmers market and trim the ends off, you can buy one of the steamer bags from the product department at your local grocery store.
