One thing I get asked all the times is What is your favorite Keto Diet Cookbook? So many people are looking for low carb alternatives to their favorite foods and that is one of the main reasons that Faith and I have created The Keto Queens.
Our site is still small and we only publish a post once a week, so I decided to list out a bunch of my favorite keto diet cookbooks and a few keto diet Instant Pot cookbooks. I am becoming a little obsessed with using my Instant Pot to cook with (I even created a free keto Instant Pot Facebook group) and I wanted to share a few of my favorites.
Spoiler alert…that is my next big project that I am working on 🙂
Oh, and I put in my 2 weeks notice at my FT job. This was a HUGE and SCARY step, but it was one I have been considering for a long time.
***UPDATE JAN 2020***
I can’t believe our little hobby blog Faith and I started on a whim has replaced our full time jobs for the both of us! It’s insane to think! Thank you all so much for the support and visiting our blog. Without you none of this would be possible.
Since writing this we have actually written 3 keto cookbooks! 2 of them are still on pre-order but we will think to them below.
Now I can focus on things that spark my passion and bring me joy, like working on this blog, cooking, photography, and doing 1 on 1 counseling session so I can help more people lose weight, reverse diabetes and manage/reverse other chronic conditions.
The Best Keto Diet Cookbook For Beginners
Well, there’s not just one that I really, really love. The first keto diet book that I purchased wasn’t really a cookbook, but instead it was like a keto diet almanac, rightly fully name The Ketogenic Bible. I found out about this book by listening to a bunch of keto podcasts.
The next book I purchased, I again found out through a podcast (The Keto Diet Podcast), was Leanne Vogel’s book, The Keto Diet. I actually met Leanne out in Austin at the KetoCon conference and she was just as nice in person as she sounds on her podcast!
Maria Emmerich is a keto guru! She has so many keto diet cookbooks and she is an incredible presenter. I listened to her talk at KetoCon too! She just released a new book called, “Keto” on January 9th which I am ordering as soon as I complete this post. She also has a few more keto diet cookbooks:
- Keto Comfort Foods
- Keto Restaurant Favorites
- Easy Dairy-Free Ketogenic Recipes
- Quick and Easy Ketogenic Cooking
- The 30 Day Ketogenic Cleanse
Suzanne Ryan and her brand new book, Simply Keto has taken keto main stream! She been interviewed on several big television shows in the US and is now doing a big book tour! Her new book is another that I need to add to my collection.
Also, I love this new book, The Big 15 Ketogenic Diet Cookbook. Basically it has 15 popular keto ingredients and has a bunch of recipes using each ingredient.
A shameless plug. I think Faith and my cookbooks are pretty awesome too 🙂 We just have a few out now, but we are hoping to create a bunch more for you!
- Detox Friendly Anti-Inflammatory Bone Broth Recipes to help with weight loss
- Classic Holiday Cookies and Baked Goods (our most popular!)
- Freezer Friendly Family Dinner Recipes
- Easy Keto Summer Entertaining Recipes

So….one thing to notice is all of these names are super similar but they are all different books! I’m torn between naming mine something super creative or going with what is best for SEO (searching on amazon or google). It’s tough!
So, I probably over-loaded you with a bunch of keto diet cookbooks, but there are so many good ones out there it was hard to narrow down!
Anyways, happy cooking!
